The Chattanooga Christian School girls soccer team traveled to Signal Mountain on Tuesday to battle for the regular season District 7A/AA championship. CCS scored twice in the second half to earn the 2-0 win.
CCS freshman Laura Beth Turner scored the first goal 30 seconds into the second half after a double assist from Olivia Hoffman and Kyla Wright. 12 minutes later, Hoffman scored off an assist from Addie Henry.
The win gives CCS the top seed going into the post season. Signal Mountain will be the second seed and Notre Dame the third.
"We played better in the second half," CCS head coach Cal Sneller said. "I think Signal played the first half as though they were the team that wanted it more. The second half was a different story. Our defenders did very well limiting Signal to few opportunities to score."
Taylor Price recorded six saves for CCS.
