Weink scored seven touchdowns in the game for Stewart County (3-4).

Huntingdon’s Kennon Holder set the previous state record with 503 yards on Nov. 7, 2008 against University School of Jackson.

Stewart County coach Chantz Swartz said Weink ran for 47 yards on the team’s first play. He followed that up with a 97-yard run.

“He just had runs all night like that,” Swartz said. “We fed him the ball all night.”

Swartz said Friday night Weink had an unofficial 570 yards on 39 carries. He charted the game Saturday morning on film and corrected those totals to 37 carries for 572 yards.

Swartz said Weink entered the game with more than 1,200 yards. His seven TDs puts him at 20 for the season, Swartz said.
