1. Oakland (9-0) — The Patriots, led by Brendan Matthews’ two-touchdown passing performance, eclipsed the 50-point mark for the fourth time this season in Friday’s rout of Cookeville. Last week: No. 1. This week: Friday vs. Smyrna.

2. MBA (8-1) — After a somewhat sluggish first half  Friday, the Big Red reeled off 21 fourth-quarter points to take down visiting Baylor 31-10. Last week: No. 2. This week: Friday at Ensworth. 

3. Independence (9-0) — The Eagles, winners of 24 in a row, can secure their second straight unbeaten regular season with a win against La Vergne on Friday. Last week: No. 4. This week: Friday vs. La Vergne. 

4. Brentwood Academy (6-2) — Regardless of Friday’s outcome, the defending champion Eagles are destined for a runner-up finish in Division II-AA East/Middle Region. Last week: No. 3. This week: Friday at McCallie. 

5. Cane Ridge (9-0) — The Ravens, who already have clinched a Region 6-5A championship, can secure their first unbeaten regular season in program history with a win Friday. Last week No. 5. This week: Friday at Gallatin. 

6. Pearl-Cohn (8-1) — The Firebirds, led by versatile junior Jimmyrious Parker, have outscored opponents by a combined 350-48 margin during their eight-game winning streak. Last week: No. 7. This week: Friday at Springfield. 

7. Centennial (8-1) — The Cougars, coming off a 28-24 win over Rossview, can secure the Region 7-5A championship with a win Friday at Henry County. Last week: No. 8. This week: Friday at Henry County. 

8. Mt. Juliet (7-2) — A 42-35 overtime win over Franklin put the Golden Bears in position to win their first league title since 2009. Last week: NR. This week: Thursday at McGavock. 

9. Ensworth (6-3) — The Tigers, winners in five of their last six, will be looking to play the role of spoiler in their regular-season finale against Montgomery Bell Academy. Last week: No. 9. This week: Friday vs. MBA. 

10. Blackman (6-3) — The Region 2-6A runner-up Blaze, led by junior running back Master Teague, have won five straight since struggling to a 1-3 start to the season. Last week: No. 10. This week: Friday vs. Warren County.
