Joe Moos resigns as Richland football coach

Joe Moos is returning to Rutherford County.

Former Riverdale lineman Joe Moos (79) has resigned at Richland and will be an assistant at Blackman High.

The former Riverdale standout and Mr. Football finalist has resigned at Richland to become an assistant at Blackman High School.

Blackman coach David Watson told The Tennessean that Moos will join his staff and likely coach on the defensive side. His specific duties have not been determined.

Moos spent three seasons at Richland, going 4-26. Prior to that he was an assistant at Lincoln County and was the coach at Forrest in 2012.

Moos was a Class 5A Mr. Football Lineman finalist in 1998 as an offensive guard.
