Hardin County's Ashley Channell, center, was named the TBPA Miss Bowler of the Year.

Next Thursday, Hardin County has two chances to bring home the Tennessee Bowling Proprietors Association/Tennessee State USBC High School Bowler of the Year award.

Senior Ashley Channell and sophomore Faith Welch were named finalists for the award on Wednesday night along with Walker Valley's Natily Haro.

Channell, a Louisiana Tech signee, was named the Bowler of the Year last year in leading Hardin County to a third straight state championship and earning a third straight individual state championship.

Channell is the No. 1 qualifier for this year's individual state tournament with a 220.50 average during the season. Welch is the No. 2 qualifier with a 206.51 average.

Channell and Welch will try to lead the Lady Tigers back to the state tournament as a team on Saturday in a sectional match at 1 p.m. at Savannah Bowling Center.
