XSportsRadio
In an official press release late Sunday Loretto High School Principal Dr. Littleton announced Micah Rochester was relieved of his coaching duties effective immediately. Dr. Littleton thanked Coach Rochester for his "commitment and dedication to the boy's basketball program over the past eight years". She added "we feel it is time for the program to move in a different direction".
Athletic Director Harley Simbeck will coach until an interim is named for the remainder of the 2016-17 season. Dr. Littleton also stated that a search for a permanent head coach will begin immediately.
Rochester compiled a 106-101 record in his eight years at his alma mater with two Region Championships (2015 & 2016) and a trip to the Class A Final Four in 2015. The Mustangs are currently 13-6 this season.
