Christian Academy of Knoxville has tabbed another former All-American to lead its track and field programs.

Michael Morrison, CAK track and field coach

CAK announced former NCAA champion decathlete and five-time All-American Michael Morrison as the hire on Wednesday. Morrison, once an assistant at CAK, replaces Tony Cosey, the former Central High School track star who became a seven-time All-American at Tennessee before competing in the 2000 Olympics.

Cosey resigned in January.

Morrison, who began his college career at Florida and finished at California-Berkeley in 2011, returns to CAK after serving as director of performance training at Emerald Youth Foundation the past two years. Before that, he coached jumps and multievents for the Warriors and was a volunteer assistant at Cal in 2012.

Morrison won the NCAA decathlon in 2011.
