A day after earning the top seed in the District 13-A tournament, Huntingdon is entering the Dirty Dozen for the first time this season

The No. 1 seeds for the upcoming district tournaments are almost all decided.

The known top seeds are Huntingdon (13-A), Humboldt (14-A), Dyersburg (13-AA), Brighton (13-AAA) and St. George’s (D2-A).

The others will all be decided by the end of the week.

Huntingdon started the season slow with a tough out-of-district schedule, but the Mustangs are playing their best basketball right now.

So a day after earning the top seed in the District 13-A tournament, Huntingdon is entering the Dirty Dozen for the first time this season.

Riverside entered the rankings for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and the Panthers have moved all the way up to No. 7 in the rankings with a chance to also claim a No. 1 seed on Friday.

So before the regular season ends Friday, here is the new boys basketball Dirty Dozen.

1. Humboldt (14-A) (24-1) – The Vikings finished the 14-A schedule without a loss. They open tournament play on Monday at home against the Lake County-Greenfield winner. Results: Beat Union City. Last week: No. 1.

2. Westview (13-AA) (18-5) – The Chargers have secured the No. 2 seed in the District 13-AA tournament and earned a bye into the district semifinals. Results: Beat Obion County; Lost to Dyersburg. Last week: No. 2.
