Stewarts Creek's Javonte Rollings drives around Oakland's Ray Tyler Saturday.

Whether they were driving to the basket and scoring, or knocking down 3-pointers, Oakland’s offense was red hot Saturday in the District 7-AAA semifinals at Blackman High School.

The Patriots connected on 60.5 percent of their shots (23-of-38) as they defeated Stewarts Creek 64-51.

Second-seeded Oakland will go up against top seed Blackman in the championship game Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Stewarts Creek, which was playing in its third game in four days, will play in the consolation game against Riverdale Tuesday.

Here is a breakdown of the game:

Oakland boys 64, Stewarts Creek 51

Records: Oakland 20-6, Stewarts Creek 11-18

The skinny: Oakland executed its offense near flawlessly, making the extra passes to find open 3-point shooters and taking the opportunities to drive to the basket for layups for high-percentage shots. Stewarts Creek hung with Oakland for a half but the Patriots took control of the game in the third quarter.

Turning point: Oakland knocked down three 3-pointers in the third quarter to gain a double-digit lead, and the lead was never in single digits from that point.

Leading scorers: Oakland:  Keishawn Davidson 20. Stewarts Creek: Tyler Conley 15.

Quotable: "They were able to get the ball to the baseline. We didn’t move our feet very well. Credit to them. They came out and they had that same intensity that we had on Wednesday and Thursday. We didn’t have that same matching intensity. We got frustrated with ourselves.” – Stewarts Creek coach Kris Hooper.

Oakland's Cooper Baughn is guarded by Stewarts Creek's Jonathan Pealleaux during Saturday's 7-AAA semifinals.
