White House’s boys basketball team saw its season come to a close Saturday, suffering an 85-46 loss to visiting Maplewood in the Region 5-AA Tournament quarterfinals.

Maplewood led 17-7 after one quarter, 42-15 at halftime and 62-32 entering the final quarter.

Mr. Basketball finalist Bo Hodges led the Panthers with 18 points, while Hassan Littlepage added 17, and Craig Blackshear and R.T. Wilcox each finished with 16 points.

Bryant Reynolds led the Blue Devils (15-17) with 15 points.

Pope John Paul II falls at McCallie

Pope John Paul II’s boys basketball team ended its season with a 67-48 loss at McCallie in the Division II-Class AA state quarterfinals.

The Knights finish with a 17-11 record.
