Brandon Baucum, McKenzie

Brandon Baucum (McKenzie, P/SS) – Baucum was named the District 13-A Pitcher of the Year last season after going 7-2 with a 1.49 ERA and 56 strikeouts. He was also a key part of the Rebels’ batting order with a .385 average to go along with 28 RBI.

Trey Beecham, Chester County

Trey Beecham (Chester County, OF) – Beecham was a consistent bat in the middle of the Eagles’ lineup last year. He helped his team finish in the top four of Class AA as he batted .426 to go along with six home runs, 36 RBI and 26 runs scored.

Connor Creasy, Milan

Connor Creasy (Milan, P) – Creasy will be the Bulldogs’ go-to pitcher in big games, and he earned that spot after going 8-2 last season with 78 strikeouts and a 0.50 ERA. He allowed five earned runs total in helping Milan to a top-four finish at the Class AA state tournament.

Zach Dodson, Huntingdon

Zach Dodson (Huntingdon, P/SS) – Dodson seems to be able to do it all for the Mustangs. He went 6-3 last year on the mound with 56 strikeouts and a 1.91 ERA. He was also one of the top bats on the team with a .384 average with eight doubles and 16 stolen bases.

Evan Gilliam, Lexington

Evan Gilliam (Lexington, SS/OF) – Gilliam signed with Tennessee in the offseason, so now he can focus on his high school team and trying to be one of the top batters in the area this season. He is one of 11 seniors on the team trying to lead Lexington to a deep postseason run.

Mason Holden, Milan

Mason Holden (Milan, P/3B) – Holden was one of the top batters in West Tennessee last season as the Freed-Hardeman signee batted .443 with 14 doubles and 39 RBI. He helped lead the Bulldogs to a finish in the Class AA semifinals, and he wants to help his team get back there.

Carter Holt, Jackson Christian

Carter Holt (Jackson Christian, P/1B) – Holt was the 2016 All-West Tennessee Player of the Year. He was 12-2 on the mound last season with a 1.11 ERA and 94 strikeouts. The Arkansas State signee also batted .358 with 10 doubles and 40 RBI.

Tyner Hughes, Gibson County

Tyner Hughes (Gibson County, C/P) – Hughes helped lead Gibson County to the Class A sectionals last year, and the team has a goal of getting back there this year. He batted .479 last year to lead the team, and he also had 23 RBI and seven doubles.

Dylan Lott, Adamsville

Dylan Lott (Adamsville, P/SS) – Lott, a Freed-Hardeman signee, was key for the Cardinals pitching and hitting last season. He was 4-0 on the mound with a 2.21 ERA. He also batted .404 with 17 RBI, 13 doubles and four home runs. He will try to help Adamsville earn a region semifinal berth this season.

Evan Russell, Scotts Hill

Evan Russell (Scotts Hill, P/SS) – Russell signed with Tennessee after leading the Lions to the Class A state championship last year. He batted .416 with 11 doubles and three home runs to go along with 38 RBI. His goal is to keep his team on top of District 15-A this season.

Dresser Winn, Dresden

Dresser Winn (Dresden, P/IF) – Everyone know the arm that Winn has on the football. Now he will show it on the baseball field. Winn went 6-2 on the mound last season with 71 strikeouts in 46.1 innings. He also batted over. 400 last year with 30 stolen bases.

William Woods, Trenton Peabody

William Woods (Peabody, P) – Woods has signed to play at UT Martin next season, but first he wants to help get his team back to the Class A sectionals for the third straight season. He went 6-2 last season with a 2.00 ERA.
