One day after eight girls basketball players were named all-state by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association, the eight boys basketball players from West Tennessee were named all-state.

Four of the eight all-state boys basketball players came from Class AA.

Senior Tristan Jarrett averaged 21.8 points and 8.6 rebounds this season to be named to the team. Senior Dedric Boyd, an Eastern Kentucky signee, averaged 20.5 points and 5 rebounds to be named to the team even though he missed 11 games due to a knee injury.

Camden senior Hunter Vick, a Tennessee Tech signee, helped lead the Lions to the Class AA sectionals, and he has been honored as all-state after averaging 22.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

Fayette-Ware junior Quatarius York was also named to the team after leading Fayette-Ware to the Class AA sectionals.

For the second straight day, University School of Jackson had one player named to the Division II-A All-State team. Junior Brandon Craig was honored after averaging 18.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks.

The final three came from Class A.

Humboldt went through the regular season without a loss to a team from the state of Tennessee. Senior Jarred Walker was named all-state after running the offense that reached the Class A state quarterfinals. Walker averaged 11.7 points, 7.1 assists and 3.7 steals.
