CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. It's been more than two weeks since the end of the high school basketball season but three athletes from Montgomery County were named All State by the Tennessee Sports Writers' Association.

Clarksville Academy freshman Sydneey Boykin was named to her first All State team in Class A by the TSWA.

In Class A, Clarksville Academy had a pair of athletes earn All State honors. Sydneey Boykin captured her first honor on the girls' side while Austin Fisher was named All State for the second straight year on the boys' side.

Boykin, a freshman, dominated District 10-A this season while helping transform the Lady Cougars into a contender for the first time in the program's history. Boykin averaged 15.8 points, four rebounds and four steals a game. Clarksville Academy finished the season 17-12, its best season in more than 20 years.

Fisher is coming off another stellar season for the Cougars. He averaged 25 points a game for a team that finished 22-8, the first 20-win season for the boys' program since 2010-11. Fisher signed to play college ball at Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis earlier this week with the hopes of advancing to a Division I program.

Northwest star Tariq Silver (22) was named to the TSWA All State team in Class 3A.

Silver made his college decision known last November, signing with Eastern Michigan. But the Vikings star guided Northwest to its first District 10-AAA championship in more than 20 years.
