Tennessean All-Midstate girls basketball team
The top high school athletes from Middle Tennessee will converge at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center on June 6 for The Tennessean’s second annual Sports Awards presented by Farm Bureau Health Plans.
Tickets are on sale for the event, which will feature Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota as the guest speaker.

FIRST TEAM
Finalists for Girls Basketball Player of the Year
Sydni Harvey, Brentwood Academy
Basics: 5-7, Jr., G
College: Austin Peay, Belmont, Chattanooga, Jacksonville State, Tennessee State and Toledo have offered.
The Division II-AA Miss Basketball averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in helping lead the Lady Eagles to a DII-AA runner-up finish.
Anastasia Hayes, Riverdale
Basics: 5-7, Sr., G
College: Signed with Tennessee
The McDonald’s All-American and Class AAA Miss Basketball averaged 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in helping the Lady Warriors win their second straight state title.
Erica Haynes-Overton, East Nashville
Basics: 5-8, Sr., G
College: Signed with East Tennessee State
The Class AA Miss Basketball finalist averaged 23.0 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.3 steals in helping the Lady Eagles reach the state semifinals.
Akira Levy, Upperman
Basics: 5-7, Jr., G
College: Committed to Western Kentucky
The Class AA Miss Basketball averaged 21.5 points, 6.3 assists and 3.6 steals in helping lead the Lady Bees to the school’s first state title in school history.
Kailey Rosenbaum, Dickson Co.
Basics: 6-1, Jr., C
College: Committed to Lipscomb
Rosenbaum averaged 13.6 points and 7.1 rebounds in helping the Lady Cougars reach the Class AAA state semifinals.
