Rain forced Saturday's scheduled sectional battles between Central Magnet and Loudon and Blackman vs. Cookeville to be pushed to Sunday.

Meanwhile, Oakland got its AAA sectional game in at Cleveland Saturday. Unfortunately for the Patriots, their season ended with a 3-1 loss.

Muhammad Kanakrieh scored Oakland's lone goal, tying the game at the time.

However, Cleveland scored two late goals to take the win.

Blackman and Central Magnet are still trying to punch their ticket to Spring Fling.

The Tigers began their A-AA sectional contest against Loudon at Richard Siegel Park, but with 4:51 remaining in the first half the game was delayed by lightning with CMS trailing 1-0.

More lightning and a downpour ensued and ultimately the remainder of that match and the Blackman-Cookeville AAA match (which was to follow) were postponed.

Both matches will be played Sunday at Nolensville High, which has a turf field.

Central Magnet and Loudon will resume at 3 p.m. with 4:51 left in the first half. Blackman will take on Cookeville at 5 p.m. on the same field.

Winners will advance to next week's state tournament.
