GIRLS

Chloe Harp, Montgomery Central: The most decorated track and field athlete in MCHS history. She fourth in the state pentathlon and was state runner-up in the triple jump.

Asha Jennings, West Creek: Jennings was a state qualifier in the 100, took third at sectional in the 100 while capturing first in the event in the sub-sectional.

Teauna Anderson, Northeast: Anderson was a state medalist in the 200, 4x100, and 4x200. She qualified for state in the 100, 200, 4x100, and 4x200 and was the sectional champ in the 100 (12.11) and 200 and runner-up in the 4x200. She finished with five first-place finishes this season in the 100 and six top spots in the 200. She signed to run track at Tennessee Tech University signee.

Alyssa Poythress, Northeast: Poythress was a state qualifier in the shot put and finished fourth in the shot at sectional. She was the sub-sectional runner-up in the shot and the Montgomery County champion in the event.

Kamille Dunbar, Northeast: Dunbar was a state medalist in the 4x100 and 4x200 and a state qualifier in the 100 hurdles, 4x100, and 4x200. She captured the sectional title in the 100 hurdles (14.78) and runner-up in the 4x200 and placed fourth in the Pentathlon at sectional. She was ranked in the top 3 in the state in the hurdles and is a Austin Peay signee.

Calandra Henry, Northeast: Only a sophomore, Henry was a state medalist in the 4x100 and 4x200 and was a state qualifier in the 100, 200, 4x100, and 4x200. She was a sectional runner-up in the 100  (12.37) and 200 and 4x200.

4x200 Relay, Rossview: Dandray Holmes, Nevaeh Simon, Jackie Harris, Malena Gatewood, Maaliyah Maguire all contributed to a solid Lady Hawks relay team that was a state qualifier. It finished third in the sub-sectional and fourth at sectional.

4x400 Relay, Northeast: The Lady Eagles’ 4x400 relay squad were sub-sectional champs, sectional runner-up and Montgomery County champs in the event. It was also a state qualifier earning a medal. The team consisted of Caileigh Lavigne, Asiara Nakasone, Kennedy Parham, Rayven Thomasson and ran a season best 4:04.59.

4x800 Relay, Northeast: Lavigne, Nakasone, Parham, Thomasson teamed up in the 4x800 squad that also was a state medalist as well as a sub-sectional champion. The team was undefeated during the regular season and ran a season best time of 9:44.08.


BOYS

Stone Norris, Clarksville Academy: Norris was a state qualifier who finished eighth in the Class A/AA boys’ 3,200 meter run. His best times included 2:13.71 (in the 800m), 4:54 (in 1,600m), and 11:10.42 (in 3,200).

Jalen Tate, West Creek: Tate, a senior, set school records in both long and triple jump.  His long jump record is 23’5” and Triple Jump record 48’5.75”.  He won a Class AAA state championship in the triple  and won both events at sectional.

Isaiah Martin, West Creek: As senior, Martin finished third at the state meet in the discus and eighth at the meet in the shot put. He set school records in the shot (46’1”) and discus (147’0”). He signed with Tennessee Tech.

Markeece Shufford, West Creek:  A sophomore, Shufford was one of the best sprinters in the midstate. He qualified for state in the 100, 200 and as a member of the 4x200 relay. He placed 14th in the 100 and 10th in the 200 at the state.

4x200m relay, West Creek: The relay team consisted of DeAngelo Walker, Larry Radcliff, Jalen Tate and Markeece Shufford.  The squad finished eighth overall in the state meet with a time of 1:29.33 and placed runner-up at sectional.

Tahj Whitfield, Northeast: Whitefield earned state qualifying spots in three events, the 110 and 300 hurdles as well as the triple jump. He earned a medal in both the 300 hurdles and triple jump.

Jamire Thompson, Clarksville High: Thompson was one of the best hurdlers in the midstate where he qualified for state in the 110 and 300 hurdles. He finished third at sectional in the 110 hurdles and the sub-sectional champ in the 110 hurdles. He took fifth at state in the 110 hurdles.

Dahandray Holmes, Rossview: Holmes earned a state qualifying berth in the triple jump where he finished third overall. He finished third in the event at sub-sectional and third at sectional.

Antonio Alejos, Northwest: Alejos is a three-year track athlete that was consistent at placing in the top three at every meet. He participated in the Vandy Great 8 and qualified for the sectional meet. He was a team captain.

Tyler Hill, Montgomery Central: Hill holds the school record in the discus. He was a state qualifier in that sport where he finished seventh. He also took fourth in discus at sectional and sixth at sub-sectional.
