The 2017 Leaf-Chronicle All Area Soccer Team
FIRST TEAM
Brendan Pritts, Rossview: Pritts had 98 saves in goal for Rossview High.
Sager Patel, Rossview: Patel anchored the Hawks defense as Rossview finished 12-7-1 and 8-1-1 in district.
Lucas Lightner, Rossview: Lightner led District 10-AAA in goals with 22 and added six assists.
Cameron Carroll, Rossview: Carroll was just as gifted passing the ball (10 assists) as he was scoring (11 goals).
Luis Santamaria, West Creek: A holding midfielder, Santamaria had two Goals, four assists, 97 tackles, 107 interceptions and was named All District Defensive MVP.
Anton Moore, Northeast: Moore’s presence in goal proved to be invaluable to Northeast with 180 saves this year. He had 30 saves during the district tournament alone.
Aric Buchanan, Northeast: Buchanan finished the season with 10 goals and eight assists. He played forward, center mid and moved to a defender.
Ian Schiller, Montgomery Central: Schiller had 19 goals and 10 assists for the Indians as a co-captain while earning All District 11-A/AA and All Tournament honors.
Ryan Gasaway, Clarksville High: A senior Gasaway finished with 15 goals and 20 assists this season for Clarksville who captured the regular season and district tournament championship.
Kevin Bryant, Clarksville High: Another senior Wildcat, Bryant had two goals and an assist.
Elijah Urquhart, Clarksville High: The CHS junior finished the season with six goals and four assists.
Hogan Wiggins, Clarksville High: Only a sophomore, the Wildcats’ goalie had 68 saves this season while helping CHS advance to the Region 5 championship and a Class AAA sectional berth.
SECOND TEAM
Fergus Barnes, Rossview: Primarily a defender, Barnes added three goals and eight assists for the Hawks.
Chris Escobales, West Creek: A forward, Escobales had 18 goals and two assists and was named All District 10-AAA.
Anthony Crite, West Creek: A midfielder, Crite added eight goals and three assists for the Coyotes and was named to the All Tournament Team.
Kris Beck, Northeast: Beck guided the Eagles with nine goals and 10 assists this season.
Dakota Hodges, Montgomery Central: Hodges was a powerful one-two punch with Ian Schiller. Hodges had 19 goals and 12 assists as a co-captain and was named All District and All Tournament.
James Spencer, Kenwood: Spencer led the Knights with four goals.
Justin Brenot, Clarksville High: A sophomore, Brenot had four goals and two assists.
Tyler Pena, Clarksville High: Only a freshman, Pena had a strong offensive year with nine goals and eight assists.
Satchel Jordan, Clarksville High: The CHS frehman had a breakout year with 13 goals and 12 assists for the Wildcats.
David Jones, Clarksville High: Part of the Wildcats’ core senior group, Jones had 13 goals and four assists.
