Girls Team

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Lucy Sims, Hendersonville: Freshman won District 9-AAA singles and Region 5-AAA singles titles, losing in a quarterfinal match to Knoxville Bearden's Julia Adams. She was 13-0 in singles play as the No. 1 player for Hendersonville.

Nidhi Menon, Station Camp: Senior made it to the district tournament final before losing in the region.

Audrey Spurlock, Hendersonville: Played #4 singles and had a district regular season and team tournament record at the seed of 8-1.

Mikala Downey, Station Camp: Made it to the quarterfinals of the district tournament with a straight-set win.

Kayleigh Woods, Beech: Led the Lady Bucs and notched a tournament victory.

Grace Phillips/Caroline Miller, Hendersonville: District 9-AAA and Region 5-AAA doubles champions, winning a quarterfinal match in the state tournament before losing in the semifinals.

Grace Pincock/Autumn Pincock, Gallatin: District 9-AAA doubles runner-ups and made it to the semifinals of the Region 5-AAA doubles tournament.

Boys Team

Jackson Kinslar, Hendersonville

Jackson Kinsler, Hendersonville: Junior made it to the final of the district tournament, losing in three sets to a player who eventually made it to a state semifinal.

Brady Rucks, Hendersonville: Freshman made it to the district tournament semifinals, going 9-2 as the Commandos' No. 2 player.

Jared Burns, Hendersonville: Another freshman, he was 7-2 during the regular season and tournament play and also shined as a doubles player.

Chase Dorris, Beech: Junior showed his mettle in the district tournament, losing an epic three-set thriller to Kinsler, including 9-7 in the tie-breaker.

Joshua Biggs, Station Camp: Recorded a straight-set win in the first round of the region tournament.

Jared Burns/Garrett Franklin, Hendersonville: They were 8-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Commandos, picking up a couple of tournament victories.

Caden Brown/Houston Haynes, Gallatin: Tandem almost picked up a big win in the district quarterfinals, losing in three sets to the eventual runner-ups.
