All-Robertson County soccer team named
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Tyler Welborn, Heritage
Senior scored 31 goals and added 17 assists for the Patriots, who made it to the region semifinals before losing in extra time. Also was on the all-county basketball team.
COACH OF THE YEAR: Seth Kirby, Heritage
Heritage had a great season, making the region tournament for the fourth straight season. The Patriots finished 13-5-2 overall and won the Robertson County Cup.
Forward-Tyler Welborn, Heritage
Senior was a player whose presence immediately elevated his team. will go on to Trevecca and play basketball for the Trojans.
Forward-Juan Conisales, East Robertson
When the Indians needed a goal, they turned to their senior forward. He had 32 goals, including six hat tricks.
Forward-Leonardo Pan, Greenbrier
Despite missing a good portion of the year, Brazilian exchange student had 19 goals for the Bobcats.
Forward-Anthony Scheetz, Springfield
Freshman figures to be one of the top scorers in the county next season, and will be a key figure for the Yellow Jackets.
Midfielder-James Wilson, Heritage
Senior might have been the best two-way player in District 9-A/AA. Was a co-captain with Welborn and Andy Aguilar.
Midfielder-Seth Remo, East Robertson
Senior helped control the middle for the field for East, scoring nine goals and adding 12 assists.
Midfielder-Carson Wood, Greenbrier
A member of the district’s all-tournament team, he had a pair of goals and eight assists for the Bobcats.
Defender-Peyton Lawyer, Heritage
Versatile player anchored the Patriots’ player with his composure and level-headedness.
Defender-Keaton Forewright, East Robertson
He anchored the defensive backfield for East, and was a big part of the best unit in school history.
Defender-Eli Estes, Greenbrier
Was the toughest obstance for opponents and the anchor for the Bobcats defense. He was named the team’s MVP.
Goalkeeper-Jacob Burian, Heritage
Junior will be counted on to anchor the team next year. Very good at making the difficult save look year.
