The National Wrestling Hall of Fame, USA Wrestling and FloWrestling have joined forces to release the first-ever national rankings for high school girls.
Sullivan East graduate Allison Davis debuted at No. 3 in the 122-pound weight class.
The organizations plan to regularly update and publish the rankings going forward.
According to a news release, the rankings will include high school girls from all 50 states. Six states, including Tennessee, sponsor official girls state high school championships.
The National Federation of State High School Associations reports 13,496 girls wrestling on the high school level, representing 2,000 different high schools.
Davis, who will wrestle next season at the University of the Cumberlands, won three state titles at East.
