Creek Wood basketball standout Coulter Dotson is transferring from the school and not be playing his senior year with the Red Hawks.

A member of Creek Wood's 1K point club who averaged over 20 points per game this past year, Dotson will be transferring to Believe Prep Academy in Athens.

"(I) just thought it was the best choice for me," said Dotson when asked about his transfer.

Believe Academy is a school catered towards basketball players who have aspirations to play at the collegiate level. The prep school was founded by former Winthrop standout Tyson Waterman in South Carolina eight years ago. It recently moved all of its operations to Athens.

"I wish him nothing but the best," said Creek Wood boys coach Charles Taylor.
