CSAS, Baylor Win Girls Soccer Openers

The CSAS Lady Patriots opened their season with an 8-2 win over Silverdale on Tuesday.  
 
CSAS led 6-1 at the half.

Cydnee Stafford and Suzie Rodriquez had three goals each for CSAS.  Jennifer Buffington and Gerisha Patrick also had a goal each.  

Audrey Grace Canter had both goals for Silverdale. 

Stafford had two assists for CSAS.   Sophie Albarakat, Kate Fraser and Garisha Patrick also had assists.   Mary Claire Ellis had an assist for Silverdale.  
 

CSAS had 19 shots and Silverdale had eight.  Carrie Patrick had 11 saves for Silverdale and Clara Alsobrooks had six saves for CSAS. 

 

BAYLOR 1 CCS 0 The Baylor girls soccer team hosted CCS in both teams season opener.

Baylor's Avery Davis scored in the third minute off a hand ball in the box.
 
The game remained 1-0 through halftime.  
 
In the second half, both teams had chances but neither team could convert.
 
"We knew CCS had some quality players and would be very well coached," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said.  "They have a quality team and will do very well this year. I thought we started the game very well and moved the ball quickly in the first half. We have to learn how to do a better job in the attacking third. I am proud of our girls for keeping a shut-out."
 
Baylor out shot CCS 8-5.   Peyton Randolph had five saves for Baylor and Lucy Sandhoff had six saves for CCS.
