The Baylor girls soccer team hosted JPII in the first region soccer match on Tuesday and earned a 4-0 win.
At the 16th minute, Avery Davis scored off a Mya McGee assist.
At the 28th minute, Mya McGee scored off a Camilla Henry assist.
It was 2-0 at the half.
At the 53rd minute, Mya McGee scored off an Avery Davis assist.
At the 58th minute, Avery Davis scored off a Maddie Reap pass.
"It took us awhile to settle into the game," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said. "Once we started to get a rhythm in the game, then we started to find gaps in their defense. I give them a lot of credit for being organized and hard to break down. It is always nice to get a region win and a shut-out."
Baylor had 15 shots to JPII's 2.
Baylor's Peyton Randolph and Shannon Urey combined for two saves. Hannah Peach had 11 saves for JPII.
Baylor improves to 5-0-1 overall and 1-0-0 in the region.
JPII is now 0-2-0 and 0-2-0 in region play.
Grace and CSAS battled to a 3-3 tie.
Abigail Smith, McKinley Tyson and Maddie Ferrel had goals for Grace. Audrey Pennington and Paytn Cripps had assists. Grace keeper Olivia Bosco had seven saves.
CSAS's Cydnee Stafford had two goals for the Lady Patriots. Suzie Rodriguez had the other goal. Stafford and Chloey Carney had assists. Clara Alsobrooks had 12 saves.
Both teams recorded 15 shots.
