Here are the best from Thursday's Murfreesboro area high school sports:

SOCCER

Sarah Williams, Siegel: Her free kick from 25 yards out helped the Lady Stars garner a tie with rival Oakland in a battle of 7-AAA unbeatens.

Claire Watson, Oakland: Scored the Lady Patriots' lone goal in a 1-1 tie with rival Siegel.

Brenda Cernas, Smyrna: Scored a goal and had two assists in a 4-4 tie with Riverdale.

Ashley Barrientos, Smyrna: Scored two goals and an assist in a 4-4 tie with Riverdale.

Elise Chessor, Blackman; Hallie Cherry, Stewarts Creek: Both kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 District 7-AAA tie.

VOLLEYBALL

Kendall Hughes, Central Magnet: Had seven kills, seven assists and eight aces in a 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-8) win over Giles County.

Mackenzie Harris, MTCS: Had 21 kills, 15 digs, three aces, three assists and a block in a 3-1 win over CPA.

Mallory Black, Siegel: Had 13 kills and an ace in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-23) win over Stewarts Creek.

Mary Catherine Smith, Central Magnet: Had 13 aces and 10 assists in a 3-0 win over Giles County.

Sam Clark, Stewarts Creek: Had five kills, 10 digs and seven blocks in a 3-0 loss to Siegel.

Sophia Bossong, Siegel: Had 39 assists in a 3-0 win over Stewarts Creek.

Kalynn Kimbel, MTCS: Had nine kills, 14 digs and five aces in a 3-1 win over CPA.

Meredith Page, Central Magnet: Had eight aces and five kills in a 3-0 win over Giles County.

Storm White, Stewarts Creek: Had nine blocks and four kills in a 3-0 loss to Siegel.

Julia Poarch: Had 21 digs in a 3-0 win over Stewarts Creek.
