Balanced Lady Cougars Get Past ‘Betsy in Four

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – Sullivan Central used a balanced net attack to earn a tough four-set victory at Elizabethton Thursday evening, 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, 25-22.
Five different Lady Cougars notched five kills or more paced by Alyssa Giles who posted a double-double of ten kills and 18 digs on the night.
Elaina Vaughn delivered seven kills, Nakayla Fink and Lexi Cyr had six each and Avery Leming added five. Facilitating the attack was setter Laiken Hoback who dished out 24 assists.
The defense posted some big numbers as well. Maci Cloninger came up with 37 digs, Emily McElyea had 28 and Parker Hurd 24.
