Cleveland State Volleyball Takes Down Covenant

  • Monday, September 18, 2017

The Cleveland State women's volleyball team took down Covenant College on Monday, with a final score of 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

The Lady Cougars now move to 7-3 on the season with another home matchup against Bryan College coming on Wednesday.

Head Coach Randy Evans commented on his team's performance and said, "The competition is getting better the deeper we move into the season. We're adapting and making adjustments where we need to but we are happy with most of the things we're seeing. We're very confident moving on in our season."

Assistant Coach Alizabeth Atnip added, "Amanda Taylor and Caylea Duckett really stepped up for us. They don't normally play, but with their performance today, its shown us just how deep this team is. It's a good feeling knowing you have a solid team all throughout. However one adjustment we will be working on this week is our serving. We'll be taking a look at that as we get ready for Bryan College on Wednesday."

Up next, Cleveland State takes on Bryan College this Wednesday (9/20) at home at 7:00 PM.
