Northeast running back Tyrique Freeman (38) looks for a hole in Kenwood's defensd during their football game Saturday afternoon at Austin Peay.

With the second half of the season beginning Friday night, several schools look to start Week 6 the way it ended Week 5.

Here is a look at some of the area's top games of Week 6 as The USA TODAY NETWORK - Tennessee’s George Robinson will be picking the winners.

GAME OF THE WEEK

West Creek (4-1, 1-0) at Northeast (3-2, 2-0)

When: 7 p.m.

West Creek coach James Figueroa looks to improve on last year's 0-10 season. Figueroa is entering his second full season as head coach with the Coyotes.

This will be West Creek's first big test. Northwest presented a challenge several weeks ago, but the Coyotes passed that with flying colors. But Northeast will be a different beast altogether. The Eagles have the most depth of any team in the city and arguably the fastest team in Montgomery County. West Creek's gem of a season continues to march on, but it could hit a snag Friday in a key Region 7-5A game.

Robinson's pick: Northeast 26, West Creek 20

Fort Campbell (2-3, 0-0) at Trigg Co. (3-2, 0-0)

When: 7 p.m.

"It took some time for our seniors to buy into what we were doing," Fort Campbell football coach Josh Robins says.

Fort Campbell is coming off a huge night where it beat rival Fort Knox 34-0 in the 42nd annual Army Bowl. Denoris Buchanan ran for 289 yards and four TDs and two more were called back. Trigg County can put up points but its defense also has given up points (it's surrendered 79 points in its three wins). This game should remain close with the Wildcats pulling it out in the end to give Trig a leg up in the Kentucky's Class 3A, District 1.

Robinson's pick: Trigg County 35, Fort Campbell 31

Houston County (2-2) at Stewart County (1-4)

When: 7 p.m.

The game that both Erin and Dover wait for each year has arrived. Although it's never a region game, the intensity will not be lacking. The Irish looked like a new team under new coach Orman Meadows while Stewart County may have taken a step back. However, these two teams always play close. Houston County was 0-10 last year but lost by only a touchdown (28-21) to Stewart County. Expect the same kind of game.

Robinson's pick: Houston County 28, Stewart County 14

Clarksville Acad. (2-2) at Fulton City, Ky. (0-5)

When: 7 p.m.

Clarksville Academy quarterback Bryce Robinson fakes a handoff to T.J. Jenkins (3) during the first half against Zion Christian Friday at Austin Peay.

Clarksville Academy needs a win after suffering a difficult loss to Fayette Academy last week. What better way to get back on track than against a program that has only six wins in the past five years. The Cougars should put up huge numbers.

Robinson's pick: Clarksville Academy 42, Fulton City 13
