Baylor, Hixson, Notre Dame Post Girls Soccer Wins

The Baylor girls soccer team traveled to Harpeth Hall for a region soccer match on Tuesday and came home with a 1-0 win. 

The start of the game was delayed 45 minutes for lightning.

At the 8th minute, Baylor's Mya McGee scored off a Maddie Reap corner.

It was 1-0 at half.

In the second half, both teams had chances but no one scored.

"I am really proud of the girls,"  Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said. "We trained yesterday on a different formation for Harpeth Hall. Harpeth Hall is one of the most difficult places to play and the girls did a great job with the game plan. Any time we can go on the road and get a region win is a good day."

Baylor out shot Harpeth 8-5.

Harpeth Hall (Abby Keeble)- 7

Baylor improves to 7-0-3 (3-0-1)
Harpeth Hall is now 3-5-1 (1-2-0)

Notre Dame also won a region soccer match as they hosted St. Andrews and won 4-0.  Notre Dame led 1-0 at the half. 

Goals were scored by Lauren Masterson (2), Anna Behlau and Breanna Brenarding.

Sarah Eiselstein had two assists and Breanna Bernarding and Lauren Bird each had one assist.  

Notre Dame out shot St. Andrews 21-3. 

Lauren Teal had two saves for Notre Dame.  

Hixson beat Red Bank 7-1 after leading 3-0 at the half.  Morgan Dupree had four goals and Sarah Bargerstock had two  Charlene Torres had one.  Morgan Dupree also had two assists.  

 

Sydney Rigler  had three saves in the goal for Hixson. 

Hixson plays at East Ridge on Thursday.
