Signal Mountain eked by in another match in the TSSAA girls' state soccer tournament, and now the Lady Eagles are in the Class A state final.

After winning their quarterfinal on penalty kicks, the Lady Eagles in their semifinal edged Chuckey-Doak 1-0 with a goal in the second overtime Thursday on Field No. 3 at the Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro.

Signal Mountain (11-5-1) will take on Alcoa (18-3-2) on Saturday at noon EDT. All championships will be decided at the stadium in the center of the Siegel complex.

Chattanooga Christian advanced to the Division II-A championship match with a 3-0 semifinal victory over Evangelical Christian at Field No. 3.

CCS (21-1-2) will play St. George's (14-6-1) today at 5 p.m. EDT.

Baylor became the third Chattanooga-area team to advance to a championship match when it defeated Father Ryan 2-1, scoring in the first of the two 10-minute overtimes at Field No. 2.

The opponent for Baylor (13-0-5) in the Division II-AA final is Briarcrest (14-2-2), which ended the season for GPS (11-6-2) at Field No. 3 with a 2-0 win in the other semifinal. The final is scheduled tonight at 7:30 EDT.

* Signal Mountain 1, Chuckey-Doak 0: It was almost the 94th minute of the match before Natasha Kohl scored the goal. Camilia Mincey centered a long pass to her from the right sideline and was given an assist.

Credit for the shutout goes to Amanda Muschel, who was in goal all 100 minutes for the Lady Eagles.

* Chattanooga Christian 3, Evangelical Christian 0: The first goal came from Laura Beth Turner in the first minute of the match. Olivia Hoffman's goal increased the lead 13 and a half minutes later.

Addie Henry's long free kick from the right side set up Katelyn Dirkse's header for a second-half goal.

Keeper Lucy Sandhoff had six saves and earned the shutout.

* Baylor 2, Father Ryan 1: Mya McGee's goal off an assist from Maddie Reap in the 87th minute proved to be the match-winner.

Lainee Bohannon had given the Lady Red Raiders a 1-0 lead around the midway point of the first half with her goal before the Lady Irish tied it within a little more than three minutes.

* White House 4, East Hamilton 2: In a Class AA semifinal at Field No. 2, the Lady Hurricanes battled back from being down 3-0 and were within a goal after Alexandria Upshaw scored in the 68th minute. But White House (16-4-3) responded with the clincher five minutes later.

Lauren Barcelona had the other goal for East Hamilton, which ends its season 16-4-1. Madeline Frank assisted Upshaw's goal.
