Three Knoxville runners won state cross country titles on Saturday in Nashville. Christian Academy of Knoxville's Rebecca Story won the Division II-A girls race. Webb's Carter Coughlin won the Division II-A boys race. L&N Stem Academy's Seth Jinks won the Division I Small School race.

Story, a senior committed to Stanford, is the most decorated female runner in the state. This is her second cross country state title, and a bittersweet final cross country race on Tennessee soil. She led from start to finish and won the 5K race with a time of 18:11.16.

Story's season is not finished. She has plans to race in the Hoka One time trials as well as FootLocker South regional meet and FootLocker Nationals.

"This year different than any before; it’s more of a continuation," she said by phone. "This season has been more of a progression especially not racing as much. I started racing later. States felt like it was sooner than it usually is. I’m happy with where I am right now."

Coughlin, a senior committed to Wake Forest, won his third state title. He also led throughout his race, finishing in 15:47.10, two minutes ahead of the next runner.

Jenks, a sophomore, won by a tighter 10-second margin. He won with a time of 17:09.90.

Webb had three finishers in the top 10 of the girls II-A race. Junior Niki Narayani was second behind Story with a time of 18:46.87. Junior Lindsay Holliday was third at 19:59.64. Senior Elizabeth Moore was ninth with a time of 21:26.63.

Anderson County junior Maddy Moody placed third in the Division I Large Schools race with at time of 18:51.53. Farragut senior Anna Delahunt finished fifth with a time of 18:59. Catholic senior Shila Kapaya was sixth at 19:00.8.

Emmerson Fulton, a Gatlinburg-Pittman senior, finished fifth in the small schools race with a time of 17:36.2. Alcoa senior Samir Koko was seventh at 17:49.

Grace Christian senior Brent Borden finished fifth in the II-A race with a time of 17:22.35. CAK junior Ryan Cross finished 10th at 17:58.68.
