Oak Ridge's Cobe Angel named PrepXtra Player of the Week for Round 2

Oak Ridge's Cobe Angel won the PrepXtra Player of the Week poll for Round 2 with 55 percent of the vote.

Angel was a defensive anchor in the Wildcats' 16-6 win over West, recording 17 tackles with one sack and picking off two passes.

Central's Phillip Young was second with 35 percent of the vote for his 13 tackles and three sacks in the double-overtime thriller.

South-Doyle's Elijah Young earned nine percent of the vote for his 193 rushing yards and touchdown and 88 receiving yards in the win over Halls.

Catholic's Dashon Bussell got three percent of the vote for his 125 rushing yards, 73 receiving yards and three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) in the win over Fulton.

Greeneville's Cade Ballard got two percent of the vote for his 238 passing yards on 14-of-17 passing and 112 rushing yards with four touchdowns in the win over Chattanooga Central.

Players are selected from the top performers submitted by coaches and team statisticians, as well as coach nominations. The poll will be posted on Monday and open until noon Thursday.
