The Elizabethton girls basketball program is undergoing a change in leadership.
Barry Johnson has resigned as head coach of the program and Lucas Andrews has been named interim head coach. The school system confirmed the move in a press release on Monday afternoon.
Johnson is in his second season with the Lady Cyclones. During that time, he led EHS to a 14-22 record. Elizabethton is 1-6 on the season currently.
Andrews came to Elizabethton prior to this school year from Cloudland. At the helm of the Lady ‘Lander program, Andrews led CHS to a 34-27 record – including a 20-12 campaign in his last season.
Elizabethton is set to travel to Dobyns-Bennett on Tuesday.
