Montgomery Central's Trey Spencer captures boys player of the week

Montgomery Central's Trey Spencer received more than 880 votes to take home the boys basketball player of the week for Feb. 5-9.

Spencer had 25 points and six rebounds in a game last Tuesday and had 12 points last Friday against Kenwood to wrap up the fifth-seed in the District 10-AAA tournament.

Spencer received 68.8 percent of the votes, followed by Clarksville High's Devyn Bender who earned 22.5 percent.

Norhteast's Alec Kegler, Clarksville Academy's Daniel Loos and Rossview's Will Midlick were also nominees as the boys district tournament begins Friday.
