Rossview's Gilmore wins Player of the Week honors for second time

For the second time in three weeks, Rossview's Kayla Gilmore was voted as the girls basketball player of the week for Feb. 5-9.

Gilmore led the Lady Hawks last week with a 13-point, 15-rebound performance against Northwest last Friday night. Gilmore received 51.5 percent of the vote, notching more than 2,000 votes.

Kenwood's Sharisa Kimble received 24.7 percent of the vote to finish second in the voting. Montgomery Central's Brooke Christy and Clarksville High's Scotti Harrison were also nominees.

The District 10-AAA girls tournament starts Thursday night.
