Summertown (31-2) plays Unaka (28-9) at 2:45 p.m. Friday in a Class A semifinal.

Summertown beat Dresden 64-52 in last year's quarterfinals before falling to eventual state champion South Greene. The Lady Eagles, who are making their eighth state tournament appearance, have never reached the championship game.

"I've got eight seniors. It's been a four-year process," Summertown coach Craig McGill said. "We were not very good their freshman year.

"But we got better as the year went on and kept getting better. Last year really sealed the deal."

Lauren Graves led Summertown with 11 points. Teammate Reily Brazier added 10. Rachel Childress led Dresden with nine.

Summertown hit 10 3-pointers for the game, two off the state record set by Riverdale twice — in 2013 and 2016.
