MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Second-half shooting woes doomed Bradley Central's girls, who were bounced from the TSSAA Class AAA state basketball tournament Friday with a 52-49 loss to Houston.

The Bearettes led 31-25 at halftime, but Houston scored the first eight points of the second half and were in contention the rest of the way. After shooting 10-for-21 from the floor in the first half, Bradley was 4-for-22 in the second half.

Miss Basketball winner Rhyne Howard had 25 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in her final game. The University of Kentucky-bound standout leaves Bradley as the school's No. 3 all-time scorer.
