Top returning Nashville-area high school football quarterbacks for 2018

With spring football practice in full swing, here’s a look at some of the top returning Nashville-area quarterbacks for the 2018 high school football season, as ranked by the USA TODAY Network - Tennessee high school sports team.

► Korey Andrews, Cane Ridge (6-2, 215, Sr.): Andrews threw for 2,482 yards with 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for last year’s Class 6A runner-up Ravens.

► Ryan Eledge, CPA (6-1, 185, Sr.): 2017 all-region selection threw for 2,033 yards with 26 touchdowns and just five interceptions for last year’s Division II-AA semifinalist Lions.

► Brian Garcia, Ravenwood (5-10, 160, Jr.): Garcia threw for 1,624 yards and 14 touchdowns with four interceptions for last year’s Class 6A quarterfinalist Ravens.

► Bobo Hodges, Maplewood (6-0, 190, Sr.): Region 4-4A Co-Athlete of the Year threw for 2,412 yards, ran for 786 yards and accounted for 35 total touchdowns for last year’s Class 4A quarterfinalist Panthers.

► Stone Norton, Davidson Academy (6-3, 190, Sr.): Three-star prospect threw for 1,832 yards with 19 touchdowns and three interceptions for last year’s Division II-A semifinalist Bears.

► Xavier Shepherd, Pearl-Cohn (6-1, 185, Sr.): 2017 all-region selection threw for 1,833 yards, ran for 511 yards and accounted for 25 total touchdowns for last year’s Class 3A semifinalist Firebirds.

► Gavin Stanfield, Waverly (6-0, 180, Sr.): 2017 Mr. Football recipient threw for more than 3,300 yards with 43 touchdowns and two interceptions for last year’s Class 2A quarterfinalist Tigers.

► Grayson Tramel, Shelbyville (6-1, 180, Sr.): Region 5-5A Offensive MVP threw for 3,492 yards and 34 touchdowns with 14 interceptions for the Golden Eagles last season.

Bryce Wallace, Marshall Co. (5-11, 165, Sr.): Wallace still threw for 1,780 yards, ran for 622 yards and accounted for 25 total touchdowns for last year’s Class 4A semifinalist Tigers.

► Heath Williams, Northeast (6-1, 195, Sr.): 2017 all-region selection threw for 2,372 yards with 29 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for last year’s 7-5A runner-up Eagles.
