Morristown East's Kaitlyn Harper voted the PrepXtra girls athlete of the week

Morristown East softball's Kaitlyn Harper was voted PrepXtra girls athlete of the week for April 16-21. The junior earned a little over 36 percent of the vote.

Harper hit .556 on the week with 12 RBIs, five doubles and two home runs.

Gibbs softball's Sierra Hucklebee was second with 22 percent of the vote. Hucklebee hit .517 on the week with three doubles, a home run, seven RBIs, 13 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.

Powell softball's Allison Farr was third with 15 percent of the vote for her three straight shutouts as Powell won the Gibbs Tournament. In all, she was 5-1 on the week, giving up four runs and 20 hits over 33 innings, while striking out 26.

Nominations for April 23-28 can be submitted by coaches for next week's poll before 9 a.m. Monday.
