Happy Valley 3, Sullivan East 2 (Baseball)
Nolan Easlic held the Patriot bats in check as the Warriors edged Sullivan East in a Three Rivers Conference win.

After East took a 1-0 lead in the first, Eli Fleenor made contact that drove Jacob Absher and Landon Morefield across home plate in the top of the fourth to give HV a 2-1 lead.

Happy Valley pushed the advantage to 3-1 in the next inning as Will Hampton scored on a wild pitch. The Patriots added a run in the bottom of the sixth, but HV was able to hold on for the win.

Easlic limited the Patriots to just five hits and recorded eight strikeouts. Absher was 1-for-3 for the Warriors.

Elizabethton 9, Unicoi County 2 (Baseball)
The Cyclones kept their top-seed hopes alive on Monday with an impressive win in Erwin.

After the teams were knotted at 1-1 in the first, Logan Estep hit a homer in the second as part of a two-run frame to give EHS a 3-1 lead, and the bats stayed alive from there. Evan Perkins hit a home run in the sixth to help put the icing on the cake – setting the stage for a huge clash at Joe O’Brien on Tuesday.

Perkins was 3-for-4, while Ethan Eggleston and Corey Russell also had three hits apiece.

Tre Shoun picked up the win on the mound with a gutsy effort as he limited Unicoi to just four hits.

University High 4, Unaka 0 (baseball)
The Rangers were unable to overcome a four-run fourth inning by the Bucs along with five errors in the first game of the series.

Unaka was able to get five hits on the board, but the Rangers were unable to plate any of the runners.

Daniel Ensor recorded two hits for Unaka, while Davy Ensor, John-Wesley Hardin and John Boy Ramsey each added a hit.

On the mound, Ramsey limited the Bucs to just two hits and four unearned runs.

Cas Blevins was the winning pitcher for UH.
