Mason Fischer signs with Oregon State

Future Oak Ridge High School graduate Mason Fischer has signed with Oregon State for a rowing scholarship.

She plans to major in kinesiology and sports medicine at Oregon State. As an Atomic Rower, Mason made the nationals boat and and placed eighth. She also qualified for the state championships in all four years that she was on the ORHS swim team.

Mason was on the Atomic City Aquatic Club's year-round swim team, where she was selected three times to be one of eight women to represent the area encompassing Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle at Zone Championships. She maintains a 3.8 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society.
