Beasts played key roles in big wins

This week’s group of Brandon’s Beasts put together some quality performances last week.

For two of the teams – North Side and Trinity Christian – they each opened their region play with a victory on the road.

While the Indians’ win was a little more dramatic than TCA’s, the Lions were still tested, evidenced by how many points TCA allowed.

Jackson Christian put together a defensive performance that didn’t allow their crosstown rival to get close to the end zone and a possible score.

As each team gets deeper and deeper into region play, the performance of these players will become even more important.

Each game will have a lot of importance on whether or not the teams make the playoffs, and it takes more than one or two players to move the ball downfield and get it to the endzone.

Here are Week 4’s Brandon’s Beasts:

Brooks Goff, Jackson Christian: The linebacker finished with seven total tackles and one for loss.

Kaleb Newsome, Jackson Christian: The defensive lineman had 10 total tackles with a pair of sacks and another tackle for loss.

Harrison Vance, Trinity Christian: The offensive lineman had a good night blocking offensively in the rushing and pass game.

Evan Woods, North Side: The defensive tackle had a good night that was key in a big road win as he finished with 11 total tackles and a forced fumble.

Kai Wyatt, Jackson Christian: The linebacker had an interception that set up a score for the Eagles.
