ROGERSVILLE — Despite not hitting a field goal in the fourth quarter, Cherokee  made 11 of 16 free-throw attempts and held on for a 44-43 boys basketball victory over Hancock County on Thursday.

Landon Jeffers, who made Chiefs’ only second-half basket and went 7-for-10 at the foul line, led the way with 15 points. Colten McLain added 12 for Cherokee (6-8).
