The Franklin County Rebelettes beat the Giles County Lady Bobcats 48-32 on the road Friday for their eighth win of the season.
The Rebelettes jumped out to a big lead in the first half and remained in control for the rest of the day as they picked up a blowout district victory.
The Rebelettes opened the contest with their best offensive period as they quickly found themselves leading by double digits.
They led 20-5 after one quarter.
The Rebelettes brought their lead up to more than 20 points in the second quarter as they continued to limit Giles County’s offensive production on the other side of the court.
Franklin County led 32-10 at halftime.
The third quarter would be more even between the two teams with the Rebelettes adding another point to their advantage.
They led 44-21 going into the final period.
The Lady Bobcats made up some ground in the fourth quarter, but the Rebelettes maintained firm control of the scoreboard as they won by 16.
Na’Kayjah Holman led the Rebelettes with 13 points for the game, followed by Gracen Baggett with 11 points and Aahna Carter with 10.
Kenzie Arnold scored five points, and Danica Stovall, Hannah Campbell and Malloree May scored three points each.
With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 8-14 on the season and 3-5 in district play.
They will next play Tuesday at home against Tullahoma High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
