The Trousdale County High School basketball program earned a non-district doubleheader sweep Thursday night as both teams beat their visitors from Monterey.
The night began with the Lady Yellow Jackets improving to 10-14 overall and 1-3 in District 6-2A with their 71-57 win, and the night ended with the Yellow Jackets improving to 7-15 overall and 1-3 in the district with their 62-25 win. Monterey falls to 3-20 overall and 0-8 in District 5-2A on the girls’ side as well as 2-24 overall and 0-8 in District 5-2A on the boys’ side.
Up next, TCHS plays back-to-back doubleheaders against District 6-2A foe Liberty Creek on Friday and Monday with the tipoff for each girls game will at 6 p.m. Friday’s action is at Liberty Creek, while Monday’s is at home.
