Wilhite named District 7 Freshman of the Year

Cumberland County freshman basketball sensation Sydney Wilhite was selected by coaches today as the Freshman of the Year in Class 3A, District 7.

The coaches made the selection during their district tournament meeting in Crossville. She was joined on the All-Freshman Team by Lauren Clark, CCHS; Ashlyn Selby, Sadie South, Mia Hughers and MaKenzie King.

The girls district tournament begins Feb. 16 at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. Cumberland County will play Stone Friday at 7 p.m.
