CLARKSVILLE, TN – After breaking the school record for qualifiers and sending 18 to the 2024 TSSAA State Championships, the Montgomery Central program is coming home with five medalists and one state champion.

The Levendusky siblings, sophomore Audrey and senior Reese, both hit the podium, with Audrey going back-to-back as the returning state champion and brother Reese earning a 4th place medal. Audrey won her finals match against Northwest’s Sally Johnson 2-0, an opponent that beat her last week in the regional finals 1-0. She finishes her season with a 48-3 record, compiling two state titles and 91 wins in her first two seasons on varsity.

Reese finishes his high school career a 2024 regional champion, 2x sectional champion, and state medalist. His final record this season was 38-5 and boasts a career record of 147-40, the third most wins in school history. He also tied 2004 state champion and eventual UFC fighter Luke Sanders with the most regional & sectional titles (3).

Reese fell to Pigeon Forge’s Max Cable 2-1 in the 3rd place match.

By earning his medal, Levendusky joined his teammate Craig Sudderth on day 2 of the championship event, a teammate who earned a medal on the first day by making the semi-final round after upsetting the #2 seed Max Minor. Sudderth eventually fell to 6th place, but he and Reese became only the seventh and eight state medalists in program history. Sudderth, a junior, finished his season 31-16.

Senior Cearyona O’Connor hit several goals, earning a 3rd place state medal after a 5th place finish last season, while also getting her 100th win. It almost didn’t happen. In the blood round, the final elimination round before the medal rounds, O’Connor needed to win not only to advance, but also to earn her 100th win. In the middle of the second period, she found herself on her back, fighting for her tournament life. Moments later, she flipped the position and earned the fall over Briley Costello from Science Hill. Her coaches and teammates erupted with cheers as she got her hand raised, earning her 100th win and second state medal. She finished her season 44-3 and finished with 102 lifetime wins. O’Connor defeated Forrest’s Danika Mealer in the bronze match.

Junior Jocelyn Koloszy, only a second-year wrestler, earned a reputation this season as one of the top talents in the state, and she proved it at the State Championships with a 4th place finish, earning her first state medal. She finished with a 47-9 record and has 82 lifetime wins.

Junior 138-pounder Jeremy Mills also put together a solid performance, exiting in the blood round and top 8, going 2-2 including an overtime win in the round of 12. Senior Logan Webb, the 215-pounder, also reached the round of 12.
