The Trousdale County High School baseball season is in progress, and the Yellow Jackets enjoyed a five inning shut-out win over Christian Community on Tuesday. The home-standing Jackets scored one run in the first inning, one in the second, and nine in the third to conclude the game in five innings.

Kobyn Calhoun, Ayden Beal and Gage Farley each went two for three at the plate to pace the Purple and Gold. Sam Cook, Alex Livingston, Parker Day, Colton Key and Jake Malmin each added one hit.

Devan Walford pitched all five innings, striking out four and giving up two hits.

Monday, at Monroe County, Kentucky, was a tough day for the Jackets, as they fell 15-3 to the Falcons.

The Jackets could only muster four hits with Calhoun and Day getting two each. Calhoun, Day and Livingston had the three RBI.

The Hartsville boys will be taking a trip to East Tennessee next week to play Oliver Springs on Thursday, Greenback on Friday, and Coalfield on Saturday.
