See why Bartlett basketball finishes at No. 1 team Memphis area girls team

The Tennessee girls high school basketball season is officially over. Bartlett was the lone girls basketball program to play for a state championship, but came up short to Bradley Central for the second straight season. Here’s where the Memphis area girls basketball teams finished in the final area rankings. 

1. Bartlett (30-11): Carrington Jones scored 13 points but the Panthers lost in the 4A state championship game 58-43. Last week's ranking: No. 1.

2. Collierville (25-12): The Dragons lost to Clarksville 62-51 in the sectional round and ended its season one win shy of the TSSAA girls basketball state tournament. Last week's ranking: No. 5.

3. Whitehaven (23-6): The Tigers lost to Collierville and ended their season in the Region 8-4A semifinals. Last week's ranking: No. 1.

4. Hutchison (22-3): The Sting’s season ended with a 48-33 loss to Knoxville Webb in the Division II-AA quarterfinals. Last week's ranking: No. 4.

5. Memphis East (23-7): Despite a strong senior season from Tristan Spearman, the Mustangs lost to Bartlett in the Region 8-4A semifinals. Last week's ranking: No. 4.

6. Middle College (29-3): The Bulldogs reached the sectional round but lost to Greenfield 56-48. Last week's ranking: No. 6.

7. Houston (19-11): McKenzie Percoski scored 13 points, but the Mustangs were defeated by Memphis East in the Region 8-4A quarterfinals in the TSSAA playoffs.  Last week's ranking: No. 7.

8. Olive Branch (17-13): The Conquistadors’ season ended in the Mississippi High School Activities Association 6A quarterfinals with a 69-43 loss to eventual state champion Neshoba Central. Last week's ranking: No. 8.

9. Hernando (21-6): Jaliyah Kelly scored 26 points in the Tigers 83-71 loss in the first round of the MHSAA 7A playoffs. Last week's ranking: No. 9.

10. Lewisburg (20-9): Allie Carroll had 11 points and 12 rebounds in the Patriots’ 49-44 loss to Madison Central in the first round of the MHSAA 7A playoffs. Last week's ranking: No. 10.
