Tennessee High 6, Elizabethton 0
The Lady Cyclones were unable to bounce back from a big third inning on Thursday.

Tennessee High plated five runs in the bottom of the third to take control with a 6-0 advantage. EHS continued to battle but was unable to rally.

Mollie Johnson recorded the lone EHS hit with a double. In the pitching circle, Lela Byrd struck out three batters in 2.2 innings of work, while Lilly McDuffie struck out seven batters in 3.1 innings of work.

Patrick Henry (Va.) 10, Unaka 0
The Lady Rangers fell short on Thursday.

Keyonna Hague hit a triple, while Mollie Buckles added a double for Unaka. Jill Faust and Katlyn Dugger also added a hit piece.

In the pitching circle, Gracie Stout struck out two batters and allowed just three earned runs on eight hits in five innings of action.

Cherokee 14, Happy Valley 0
The Warriors were unable to keep pace with the Cherokee bats on Thursday.

Drew Blevins hit a double, while Lane Parker added a single for Happy Valley.

Boys’ Tennis
Elizabethton 8, Sullivan East 1
The Cyclones rolled to a match win over Sullivan East.

Anderson Hallman, Hudson Smith, Dhilon Patel, Elijah Laney, Josh Mindermann, and Joubran El Helou each won their singles matchups.

The team of Hallman and Smith took an 8-0 No. 1 doubles victory, while Cole Hartley and Max Frickel won 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.

Girls’ Tennis
Elizabethton 7, Sullivan East 2
The Lady Cyclones took care of business on Thursday.

Zyleigh Bates, Bailee Vanhuss, Sophie Elliott, and Madelyn Stanberry each claimed singles victories.

The team of Maylie Stough and Bates took an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Merritt and Vanhuss claimed an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.

At No. 3 doubles, the duo of Elliott and Stansberry won 8-3.
