The Trousdale County High School baseball team played host to Clay County March 13 and enjoyed a 10-4 come-from-behind win over the Bulldogs. The Jackets trailed 4-3 going into the sixth inning where they scored seven runs to gain the victory.

The Hartsville boys came up with eight hits, as Ayden Beal, Kobyn Calhoun and Parker Day each had two. Colton Key and Alex Livingston added the other two hits.

Gage Farley pitched two innings late in the game to get the win, as he recorded three strikeouts while not giving up a hit.

With the win, the Jackets raised their record to 2-1 and will play three road games next week, including Tuesday at Gordonsville, Thursday at Jackson County, and Friday at Lebanon.

“I like our makeup at this point,” TCHS Coach Davey Cothron said. “Our kids are having fun. The ‘Bench Mob’ is rocking every inning.

“We want to celebrate the little things and be good at the things nobody else cares about.”
